Topic: Sports Injuries 392: Wrist Injuries

Course Description: Wrist injuries are frustrating. limiting and can be debilitating to athletes. Wrist injuries can happen in a myriad of sports to athletes of all ages and levels. Wrist anatomy is complicated and will be covered in this two-hour course. Mechanism of injury, contributing factors, symptoms, prevention and rehabilitation of wrist injuries will be discussed. The class describes in-office chiropractic treatment and contains patient education for the prevention and rehabilitation of sports related wrist conditions.


Course Outline:

  • Detailed description of wrist anatomy.
  • In-office chiropractic diagnostic and treatment techniques.
  • Strategies for prevention and rehabilitation of wrist injuries.
  • Tools to improve patient education.


Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the anatomy and physiology of the wrist.
  • Identify proper diagnoses and treatment of wrist conditions.
  • Review management of wrist injuries in sports.
  • Outline exercise strategies in patient education.

Donald A. Ozello, DC graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1995. He is the owner and treating doctor at Championship Chiropractic in Las Vegas, Nevada.
