Course Description: 
Throwing athletes are commonly injured. The science of throwing will be discussed in detail. An in-depth description of the anatomy and physiology of throwing will be presented. Mechanism of injuries will be explained as well as diagnostic and treatment strategies. Prevention and recovery techniques will be described and demonstrated. 

Course Outline: 

  • Physiological and bio-mechanical description of throwing.
  • Explanation of how and why throwing injuries occur.
  • Proper diagnostic and treatment procedures.
  • Prevention and rehabilitation of throwing injuries.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop a better understanding of throwing.
  • Enhance clinical knowledge to treat sports injuries.
  • Outline the application of tools in the prevention & rehabilitation of throwing injuries.
  • Recognize differences in language, motor and behavior 

Donald A. Ozello, DC graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1995. He is the owner and treating doctor at Championship Chiropractic in Las Vegas, Nevada. His mission is to educate and inspire others to live healthier, fitter, more functional lives. He has a family practice but his passion is treating sports injuries.
