Topic: Sports Injuries 366: Lower Cross Syndrome

Course Description: Lower Cross Syndrome can affect athletes and non-athletes of all ages and fitness levels. Lower Cross Syndrome is recognizable, treatable and correctable. This two hour class covers posture, movement patterns, muscle sequencing and musculoskeletal function associated with Lower Cross Syndrome. The comprehensive class teaches the doctor tools to determine what incorrect movement patterns exist and how to use Chiropractic treatment and corrective exercises to help patients counter the development and progression of Lower Cross Syndrome.    

Course Outline: 

  • Description of Lower Cross Syndrome.
  • Explanation of the intrinsic and extrinsic contributing factors of Lower Cross Syndrome.
  • Movement pattern and postural exams to recognize Lower Cross Syndrome.
  • In office Chiropractic treatment for Lower Cross Syndrome.
  • Rehabilitation exercise to correct faulty posture and incorrect movement patterns.


Learning Objectives:

  • Develop a better understanding of the formation of Lower Cross Syndrome.
  • Enhance clinical knowledge to diagnose and treat postural faults.
  • Application of tools in the treatment of athletes’ musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Development of skills to better educate patients to eliminate Lower Cross Syndrome.

Donald A. Ozello, DC graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1995. He is the owner and treating doctor at Championship Chiropractic in Las Vegas, Nevada. His mission is to educate and inspire others to live healthier, fitter, more functional lives. He has a family practice but his passion is treating sports injuries.
