Course Description: Upper Cross Syndrome is a common condition that effects athletes and non-athletes of both genders and all ages. Upper Cross Syndrome is a correctable issue that negatively affects a person’s posture, movement patterns, muscle sequencing and musculoskeletal function. This two hour class describes in detail the postural faults and poor movement patterns that exist in Upper Cross Syndrome. The comprehensive class teaches the doctor tools to determine if poor movement patterns exist and how to utilize Chiropractic care and corrective exercises to help patients combat the formation and advancement of Upper Cross Syndrome.    

Course Outline: 

  • Description of Upper Cross Syndrome.
  • Explanation of intrinsic and extrinsic contributing factors of Upper Cross Syndrome.
  • Movement pattern and postural exams to help the doctor recognize Upper Cross Syndrome.
  • Chiropractic treatment for Upper Cross Syndrome.
  • Rehabilitation exercise to correct faulty posture and incorrect movement patterns.

  • Develop a better understanding of the formation of Upper Cross Syndrome.
  • Enhance clinical knowledge to diagnose and treat upper body postural faults.
  • Application of tools in the treatment of athletes.
  • Development of skills to better educate patients in the prevention and reversal of Upper Cross Syndrome.
