Course Description: There are little kids and there are big kids. What about the kids in between? This presentation is mostly about the children that are in the primary school age range, 5 – 12. These are the kids who are getting started in school, having reduced free time, play time, and physical activity while being prepped for recall of enormous amounts of information. This presentation will discuss the challenges of the child’s nervous system and health during these formative years, what we can look for when assessing their health, and how parents can better prepare them and be engaging in their environment.

    • Why chiropractic is integral for children

Learning Objectives:

  • The attendee will learn new information from established research.
  • The attendee will recall anatomy and physiology of the developing brain.
  • The attendee will analyze research on the effects of increasing screen time.
  • The attendee will review clinical tests and procedures to assess the school age child.

Dr. Michael W. Hall is a 1990 graduate with honors from Parker College of Chiropractic. He began clinical practice immediately after graduation while also entering post-graduate programs in clinical neurology and orthopedics. He received his diplomate in clinical neurology from the American Board of Chiropractic Neurology in 1993. He was later awarded a fellow in clinical neurology by the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology. For the past three decades Dr. Hall has entertained and educated thousands with enthusiastic passion for chiropractic and clinical neurology. It is his vision that all peoples may experience the healing art of chiropractic.  He has published research, served on scientific and advisory panels, and lectured around the world. His program, “Functional Neurology for the Practicing Chiropractor” is renowned throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Australia. He speaks for the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association as well as many state, national and international associations.
