This week we have the 4 TBCE Required hours

Texas Doctors,

On Tuesday August 16th from 7:00-9:00 PM Central Time Dr. Monte Horne will present "Ethics 301: TBCE Required Ethics & Jurisprudence"

(Includes required hours for ethics (2) relating to the Board Rules (TAC))

Course Outline:

2 Hours of Ethics & Texas Board rules as applied to clinical practice and office administration.
Introduction to ethics & bioethics
TBCE Code of ethics
Board rules
Proposed rule changes
Ethics as applied to staffing
Ethics as applied to clinical practice
The presentation includes power point, videos, and handouts

Learning Objectives

Apply ethics to clinical practice
Explain ethics relating to office administration
Examine board rules relating to chiropractic practice
Assess proposed rule changes

Then on Thursday August 18th from 7:00-9:00 PM Central Time Dr. Horne will present "Documentation & Risk Management 301: TBCE Required Documentation and Risk Management"

(Includes required hours for risk management (1) and documentation/coding (1) relating to the Board Rules (TAC))

1 Hour of cutting edge documentation procedures
Documentation from intake through diagnosis
Evidence based standards of care
Proving medical necessity
1 hour of risk management
Risk management from staffing through patient care
Risk mitigation strategies
The presentation includes power point, videos, and handouts

Learning Objectives:

Integrate cutting edge documentation procedures
Explain evidence based standards of care
Detect risk issues in clinical practice
Apply risk mitigation strategies in clinical practice
