Course Description: In the growing age of technological advances what is happening to our eyes? Does the increasing amount of screen time affect our neck and shoulders? Will changing the work station height make a difference? If I stand more will that change my neck and back pain? This presentation will take a look at the visuomotor and optomotor systems as they relate to the posture of our neck and back causing pain, dysfunction, and impairment. Taking a closer look at our visual development and the correlation to the homuncular organization as well as homologous columns and vestibular system. This topic is one that you won’t want to miss if spinal care, chronic pain, and forward head posture are common in your practice. I’ll also present activities to recommend to your patients to augment your care plan.
